Cky/RockAdio tour press release

CKY’s new album, AN ANSWER CAN BE FOUND, in stores June 28th

(June 23, 2005 – New York, NY) Island recording group CKY, whose long-awaited album, AN ANSWER CAN BE FOUND, will be released on June 28th, will commence their first major North American tour in 2 years when they kick off the Rock Adio Tour on August 8th at Soma in San Diego. (See complete tour dates below.) In advance of tour dates, members of the hyper-revolutionary fanbase known as the CKY Alliance will be able to purchase tickets before they go on sale to the general public. The exclusive pre-sale begins Friday morning, June 24th, at 10:00 a.m. (ET) where fans can log on to www.ckymusic.com.

The 5-week Rock Adio Tour, with special guests Fireball Ministry and The Knives, is sponsored by Adio Footwear, makers of skateboard footwear for such luminaries as Tony Hawk, Bam Margera and creators of the CKY shoe, to be introduced this summer. For further information, please go to the following Internet websites: www.rockadio.com, and www.adiofootwear.com. CKY will headline the 8th annual Skate Fest on September 9th at The Palladium in Worcester, MA.

CKY’s confrontational approach to live performance and recording comes together once again on AN ANSWER CAN BE FOUND. The new album was written by CKY and produced by guitarist Chad I Ginsburg, with the first single “Familiar Realm,” hitting the radio charts. On Friday, May 25th, M2 premiered CKY’s A Very Special Special.

The CKY Alliance - "The New Generation of Change," as the band's legions of followers were recently dubbed in the official website www.ckymusic.com by Ginsburg - has generated upwards of a half-million cumulative sales of CKY's various CDs and one DVD. Among these are their three Island Records releases: CKY, Vol. 1 (June 2001); Infiltrate.Destroy.Rebuild (September 2002); and Infiltrate.Destroy.Rebuild: The Video Album (Deluxe Edition) (November 2003, DVD). Initial US and European tour dates will be announced soon.
